Founded 2024

The institute is a church founded under the projects of ACROSS THE JORDAN INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES church, found in Bugembe Budumbuli, on Manana road. Most of the administrative work is done by the church administration. Therefore, the institute is purely private and most of its facilities are funded by the church.

Leadership structure

At the apex there is BOARD OF DIRECTORS which is in charge of supervision of the day to day activities of the institute and other activities as indicated in the memorandum of understanding of Across Jordan international ministries. Next is an executive committee, this is majorly selected by parents. Then the institute PRINCIPAL followed by the Deputy principal next are the class managers followed by staff members and parents come in as stake holders and lastly are the students leaders.

Bugembe Vocational Institute, dedicated to revealing God’s love through the word, aims to bring about transformation in people’s lives, families, and communities. It is a Revelation for a Revolution, impacting individuals and societies for a brighter future ahead.

Our Mission

We, the Bugembe Vocational Institute is dedicated to revitalizing, rebuilding, and fostering positive change through empowering self-sufficiency programs, providing relief, and offering essential support to orphaned, vulnerable children, and widows in need.

Objectives and Aims

To create employable skills and competencies relevant in the labour market of the present situation.

To empower vulnerable youth from different places of in the in the country especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and marginalized homes to acquire skilled knowledge for proper development.

To promote vocational and technical skills, competitiveness research and innovation as an opportunity to to access labour market.

To enable all citizens in need of skills, including but not only primary and secondary leavers also many others who did not get a chance to go to school or failed to complete primary or secondary levels.

To produce God fearing, disciplined and religious based youth in the labour force embedded with skills.

To be part of the state initiative of skilling Uganda with different vocational and technical skills.

To provide learners with essential skills enhancing their employability, supporting their personal development and encouraging active citizenship.

To support and subscribe to any charitable or humanitarian projects and Institutions, society or club which may be for the benefit of the organization or its employees or may be connected with any institution or authority where the organization carries on the services, to give charitable aid to any person or pesorns who are disadvantaged and to contribute to the providence fund and for the benefit of any beneficiaries of the organization.

To establish children’s Foster homes and take care of vulnerable children in communities; offer moral guidance and services to these children.

To get involved into any arrangement with government or authorities, supreme, municipal, social or otherwise or any person or company or any of them and to obtain from any government, authority and association, person or company any rights, privileges, charters, or contracts desired to obtain and carryout exercises and comply therewith.

TASAMBA BOHYI SAMSON

VICE CHAIRPERSON BOARD OF GOVERNORS (B.O.G)

He is a well-trained and qualified professional teacher and tutor with over forty (40) years teaching experience, and an outstanding dedication and service to the education sector in Uganda. He holds a Master’s degree of Education in Policy, Planning and Management- Kyambogo University, a Bachelor of Education Degree- Makerere University, Diploma Teacher Education- Institute of Teacher Education (ITEK) Kyambogo. He has served diligently in different capacities for instance; Classroom Teacher, Tutor- Buloba Teacher’s College, Deputy Headteacher- New ABC Natete Busega, Head of Department (Mathematics)- Bbina Primary School, Deputy Principal- Busikho Teacher’s College, Chairperson PTA- Kanginima Seed Secondary School, Member Board of Governors-Kaliro PTC, and an outgoing District Education Officer (DEO) Butebo District, Uganda.

DANIEL MWEBAZA

DIRECTOR

He is a highly qualified professional, innovative and energetic leader with experience in notable fields for instance; Church Ministry, Electrical Engineering, Farming, Carpentry with a passion to equip, transform, revive and restore hope to the young generation, the needy, the rejected, and those who lost hope. Based in Uganda, he is passionate about community service and development performance leadership, learning and growth opportunities having spent quite a number of years in ministry as a presiding apostle. With excellent communication and leadership skills, he is a valuable asset to any organization and his career and service profile demonstrates his profession and leadership skills as well as keen interest in making important contributions to the communities in which he serves.

EMMANUEL WAMWETA

PRINCIPAL

A self-driven, energetic and passionate professional with experience in various business disciplines and good experience in leading large teams, with commitment towards growing as an impactful project leader delivering to the expectations of any entity. A motivator, influencer and impact obsessed person ever excited to challenge and grow his knowledge and experience in highly competitive environments, while serving to the best of his knowledge and capabilities. He holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration (Honors)- Makerere University one of the most popular, reputable, high profile and prominent Universities in Africa.

GIDEON TALEMWA

CHAPLAIN

A humble, obedient and faithful servant of the God, called to serve the Lord wholly. officially married minister of God with a happy family that the Lord has blessed me with. has been serving the Lord all is life and, firmly made the decision without regret or reservations that his household will serve Lord for eternity. He is actively ministering as a pastor for over ten (10) years and we are grateful that he is serving as a Chaplain for Across Jordan Ministries that gave birth to Bugembe Vocational Institute.

TALEMWA NAFFUNA DANNIELA

WELFARE OFFICER

An honest, hardworking and passionate person who is more than willing to serve and sacrifice for the best or common good. In her line of work, she pays close attention to detail while being assertive in everything she does to ensure that we always achieve our desired results within the stipulated time. She is committed to serving the institution and she has pledged to give the best always.

NABIRYE JOSEPHINE

SECRETARY

She is a highly organized, efficient, focused and detail-oriented person who is very capable of multi-tasking ensuring that errors and mistakes are avoided or otherwise eliminated. She is always determined to offer the best service effectively and efficiently at all times regardless of the situation at hand.

LUGUJJE ROGERS

ACCOUNTANT

He is an outstanding, creative, self-motivated and well-articulated professional with a strong work experience, and always open to learning. He holds a hold a Diploma in Accounting from Uganda Martyrs’ University.

FRED ISOOBA

MARKETING OFFICER

He holds a diploma in Industrial Art and Design from Kampala University. He has served in various leadership positions for instance; Library Prefect and Treasurer student association in high school, Course coordinator at the University. He is very creative, innovative and hardworking individual with passion in sales.

He is the founder of the Kingdom Media Switzerland association and has supported us from the very beginning with his experience as a social therapist, company founder and team leader.
